Hello there! 👋🏼
There’s a lot of new faces here on my page so I thought I would reintroduce myself and what I feel is my purpose! I think it’s important to always bring things back to our “why”.

I’m Jessica, most people call me Jess, and I started this Instagram page with a simple goal: to inspire others through my story and my training.

When I was younger, I found myself in a toxic relationship that sparked a desire to learn how to defend myself. That’s when I started boxing. After seven months of training, I entered my first tournament. I won the first two rounds and lost in the final, but in that moment, I proved to myself that I was capable of so much more than I had ever imagined.

Soon after that, I transitioned to Muay Thai, fought a few more times, and eventually moved to Australia where my journey continued. In total, I fought 13 amateur matches across boxing and kickboxing, and loved every second of it.

Fighting has taught me invaluable lessons, and I know my journey is far from over. Most importantly, it has revealed a passion within me that I didn’t know existed, and proven that I am far stronger and more resilient than I ever thought possible. It has shown me that the human body is truly powerful when we love and care for it, and it has sparked a deep love for teaching others—especially women—how to defend themselves.

Most of all, it has taught me that no one, and I mean NO ONE, can make you feel inferior without your consent. I’ve learned not to judge a book by its cover because you never truly know what someone has been through. And what was once used to harm me can now be used for good.

I never set out to become Instagram famous, nor am I an influencer boxer. I’m just a girl with a deep passion for what I do, and a mission to break toxic cycles. My hope is that everyone who comes across my story understands their own worth, finds the strength to pursue their dreams, and refuses to take no for an answer. Even though I don’t compete anymore, I hope my journey of fighting can help someone fight through something the are going through. The fighter journey is about resilience- and I hope that is the biggest takeaway from my page!

Shout out to everyone who fought that night too, the whole card was good and you’re already a winner in my eyes just for stepping in the ring. 🥊

The truth is, one is clearly better for you and no I’m not talking about the drinking! 😬
Only when I started tracking my protein intake did I realize I was under-eating in protein and I think it’s more common than people realize. But protein is so essential and even more as we age. Reasons I make sure to hit my protein intake are because:

💪🏼Protein helps me preserve muscle.
Starting in your 30’s, you naturally begin to lose muscle mass. Eating protein helps slow that loss, keep me strong and mobile and less prone to injury.

💪🏼It keeps me full longer.
Pairing protein with meals helps prevent crashes which also supports my long-term metabolic health. This also helps you prevent eating trash!

💪🏼My body needs it for repair.
Protein provides amino acids that rebuild tissues, support immune system, and help the body recover from workouts and stress. This is huge for the kind of training I do too!

There’s so many more benefits but these are my top three. If you have trouble hitting your protein goal- that’s why I supplement with a protein shake a day.
Go- to flavors are chocolate peanut butter and vanilla for a nice berry smoothie.

This season of life is called ‘peace of mind’

Freestyle mittwork… I love this style of training because it feels the most like a fight. You throw and the mitt holder just catches.

Had the privilege of working with, Zac, and being introduced to this new style called, Carbin All Style. In my personal opinion, it felt a lot like Dutch kickboxing - but more intricate.

It actually felt like unlocking a new superpower!
All the things I love and enjoy about boxing and kickboxing in one practice. Heavy hands, footwork, switching stances, cross blocking, tricky set ups, fast and effective.

Could not think of a more fun way to celebrate an early Valentine’s Day than hitting things and learning something new. My kickboxing is a little rusty since I haven’t been working it as much, but you will see a lot more of it this year. Can’t wait to learn more!

10/10 recommend learning from him- he is a fantastic coach.

Am I right or am I right?!

Yesterday’s training was 🔥 and I was ripping the body shield like I had something to get off my chest 😤😅
Worked on different ranges and strategy within those ranges— footwork is essential when working different ranges. Full breakdown coming this week!

If you want to work different ranges, footwork and strong mechanics, comment PROGRAMS and we will DM you our 3 different programs to do just that. Even if you train boxing just for fun or for fitness; refining your technique and foundation will help you be more sharp and explosive.

A couple years ago, after finishing a workout I was teaching, I suddenly lost all function in my right arm. The unthinkable was happening — I was having a stroke. I was in the best shape of my life, living what I thought was a super healthy lifestyle, and everything came to a full stop in an instant. Gratefully, we found the cause and I underwent a heart surgery, to fix it. I’m not going to lie and say that life is sunshine and rainbows since- I have moments of PTSD and moments of doubt- what if it happens again, what can I physically do and not do. But the perspective I gained on the other side of this outweighs it all.
I originally started this platform to bring awareness and hopefully inspire others, because the truth is, we really have no idea what curveballs life will throw our way. And while I genuinely love creating content, training, and having fun with all of this, I never want to lose sight of what actually matters. I don’t think I’m special or exceptional — honestly, I’m just a girl on a journey, doing the best I can with what I’ve been given, and feeling incredibly grateful along the way.
Social media shows a lot of highlights, but this was a major lowlight for me. There was a time when I didn’t know if I’d ever move normally again, or train again — and those moments really put things into perspective. I want to share more of that journey, not for sympathy, but in hopes that it might encourage someone going through health challenges of their own and remind them that they can get through it too. 💛

Finally made it to the 45-minute absolute heater at @thepack and WOW. Intense? Yes. Thrilling? Also yes. Regrets? Zero.
First of all—finally met Noah IRL and took his class, which I already knew was going to be iconic. Somehow? Still exceeded expectations. Elite coaching, immaculate vibes, and the kind of motivation that makes you forget you’re questioning all your life choices mid-workout.
We kicked things off punching Bob—because honestly, hitting something shaped like a human just hits different. Very therapeutic. Highly recommend. 🥊
Then came the assault bikes… aka my personal villain origin story. Easily the most intense part (for me), but Noah had us pushing through like we were training for something very serious and dramatic.
Finished strong with full-body weights—loved how seamless it was to flow from set to set. And just when you think you’re done? BOOM. Final round of burpees to humble you and remind you you’re alive.
If you want to walk out of a workout feeling accomplished, powerful, and slightly feral—in the best way—go to @thepack and take Noah’s class.

It’s easy for social media to become a highlight reel of our BEST moments, our cutest outfits, our holidays, our mountain tops. But really life is this 40 seconds. It’s all the in between, it’s the moments where we don’t really get it, but we are trying. It’s the mistakes along the way. It’s the looking like a failure until you get it right.
I think it would do a disservice to not show these moments too.

This was a large portion of my training with Joan. His style is very complex, he moves very fast and doesn’t give you time to overthink, he just wants you to react. So it comes with a lot of punches to the face, and it comes with zero rest breaks 😅 it comes with looking like being thrown in the deep end and like you’re a rookie, but that’s where the magic happens.

FOOTWORK PROGRESSION DRILL

Handful of steps in this footwork progression which was fun and different than what I have done on the plate in the past! Richie said he likes to use the plate drills for the stance. We had a lot of fun with these!
1. Shuffle steps to get the rhythm
2. Shuffle steps then add punches
3. Then add changing stances
4. Final progression is to add kicks and slide outs

NYC fight trip PART 1🗽🥊

This one was for the books. Girls trip with my girl Michelle- and we trained like crazy. Three amazing gyms and three amazing coaches, good food and coffee, an amazing Broadway show, jazz night in the Village, and ended it with a huge win by Shakur Stevenson at the @daznboxing match! Safe to say all in all- it was a great couple of days. We froze our butts off, but we loved every minute of it!

Who wants the breakdown of each gym and coach we went to see?!

Shout out to @daznboxing for the amazing seats as well- made the fight experience that much better! And shout out to Michelle for being the best travel buddy- we didn’t stop! Ha

It’s been years of back and forth trying to find the right moment to get in and work with Richie and I’m so glad it happened finally!
He is a wealth of knowledge and really understands the sweet science of martial arts and movement.
I wanted to be challenged and learn something new and boy did he deliver, we worked switching stances and footwork like “sliding out” the foot exchange is so seamless you don’t even notice is when it happens. I don’t work southpaw very often but I know what I will be working on more now.
We also just had a good time flowing and learning and moving around!

One of my absolute favorite people to train with. Already feeling lighter on my feet. And there’s just nothing like the energy of an old-school boxing gym 🥊
